Hello Chair Martin.

I listened to the interview live, and I asked this question in the chat numerous times in different ways, but unfortunately it wasn’t addressed. I am wondering why no opposition candidate has ever run against Speaker Mike Johnson?? He is the most dangerous and consequential member of Congress, and every election he has just sailed through. I know it’s a very red district blah, blah, but I’m sure you are aware that deep red Kentucky has a Dem 2 term governor. There are lots of black people in Louisiana who would come out and vote for a good Democratic candidate who speaks to their needs and makes them feel seen. Obviously, we need seats in the house, and there’s hardly any support or any recruiting of candidates in Louisiana or Kentucky. I know there are 2 black candidates trying to run in each of those states and they requested support from the Dem party and were sent about $1, meanwhile we spend 100’s of millions in “swing states” and millions on spas to figure out how to talk to men. ~ Things like this are some of the reasons the Democratic Party approval rating is being flushed down the toilet. I doubt you will bother to read this, but as a furious Dem, I wish you would listen to people more. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Platner is not a Nazi, IMHO. Watch some of his recent interviews, addressing the issues. Judge for yourself. Today, he spoke with Jen Psaki on The Briefing.

Also, thank you, both, for an excellent conversation. Ken, I SUPER APPRECIATE your extremely direct straightforwardness and your willingness to play hard ball. Thank you, both! Keep up the fight!!💙
