As the NY Times noted today, Democratic leaders still need to come up with an overall vision -- their own version of the ghastly Project 2025 -- of how they intend to move this country forward. A laundry list of well-worn liberal ideas won't work. Until then, working "with content creators online to carry Democratic messaging across the new media landscape" because the party does not have a well-honed message. It's the leading reason why the Democratic party is no more liked than the GOP.

Lance, Party also needs to re-brand and present themselves as an improved and listening Party. Talk about doing a better job, etc.

Totally agree with your message that The Party comes up with vision/policy positions. Network of influencers is a move in the right direction, but really the message is the same old, same old. How hard is it to take a topic-Immigration and say we can do better and then say how? Come on................hit the top 10 issues Americans are concerned about.

Perhaps if the Democrats stay on this path (disliked by a large majority of Americans), it will push us on a path towards a viable Third Party? Do the Democrats realize they may win the mid-terms because there is no other choice to Save Our Democracy? Doesn't set us up for the next Presidential, does it?

Americans deserve better.

Very glad to see there is real substance and event coverage going on here, not just blind-faith messaging.

The metrics don't include any results measures. A rising and high public sentiment about the messages and leadership of the DNC is glaringly missing.

Also, you need messages that will resonate and be worth sharing. I've yet to see or hear any. And we need messages we can share with neighbors, not just shout into the digital void.

And finally, target groups should reflect a winning population, starting with the largest segment of the population -- workers. Then, parents and other caregivers.

Jeepers. Why don't you actually talk to people about all this.

Talk to people about all this - and listen to their comments when putting info like this out. WE NEED UNDERSTANDABLE MESSAGING.

Dear Matt and DNC Grassroots Team! I am excited, and relieved, that you are rapidly building a strong digital comms capability. It's late, but as they say, far better late than never.

I was also excited to discover today that the DNC Home Page [dnc.org] has been given a content and appearance makeover! As some of you have noticed, I've been on the warpath for months to advocate that the DNC remove the 2024 platform and the 2024 Issues off the home and following pages. I mean it still featured Biden as President and Harris as VP! This was an embarrassing scandal. It shook my confidence in Party leadership. How could this have been allowed to go on? As your article affirms, we have moved into a digital age -- but that happened years ago, and Trump, MAGA and the GOP took note and acted.

Well, I don't want to harp on what was wrong before -- but I hope that lessons were learned and that the RIGHT LEADERS are now in place. I love the look of the new democrats.org site. I see that there are RAPID RESPONSES from today's news! Way to go, Kendall! This gives me hope and new confidence in our Party leadership. Please Old Guard [I'm over 80 y/o], hand over the reins to our super talented and energetic young people. They know what's up and why.

I do agree with Lance that Dems need to keep honing the message. I like the concise message that is now featured on the Democrats' main site. Need to follow up with concrete policy proposals. We CANNOT wait for a presidential platform to come out in the traditional schedule! This is urgent. We must have a different battle rhythm. I commend y'all for taking a major step forward in digital, rapid response messaging. Now, let's follow up with solid, concrete proposals that will help those who are not wealthy. Thank you and God Bless!

A follow-up to my comment: Many of you may be familiar with "5calls.org." They list a number of Key Issues, with well-conceived talking points for each issue. I have not seen one of these points that doesn't align with a progressive, sensible Dem vision. I wish that the new democrats.org site would provide a similar list of issues and talking points. Maybe just ask 5calls? :-)
