Thanks Ken for this post. I'm one of those "down ballot" candidates here is RED OHIO as the Dem candidate for the Ohio House District 98 in rural / Amish country. I'm excited about the Acton/Pepper ticket and hope to help eliminate the super majority in the Ohio Assembly. We only need 6 more seats in the house!
Educating, organizing amd winning is necessary but what platforms are Dems going to support and to what extent? Or do we get more watered down things like Obama Care run for corporate interests? And more genocide in Palestine to keep the arms dealers in the donation picture?
You have EIGHT months to recalibrate, reset, and restore our party to its full potential.
Start looking beyond your big money donors who you seem to believe are the only opinions that will matter and remember the people who will either make or break this election.
WE have the voting power.
WE are the ones who will be in the streets and at the protest rallies.
It’s OUR financial responsibilities that are what’s important, our wallets, and our rights.
If you don’t want a repeat of the last election’s voting apathy from your constituents, then you had best get your head in the right direction.
This should be the biggest no brainer since, “It’s the economy, stupid.”
🇨🇦 Mr. Martin, I am a Canadian and have visited your country many times. I have never seen anything like this in all my 63 years. I read how hard you're working for your midterm election. I hope that you'll have a lot of young people join you in getting the word out. Not just by protesting or volunteering at a phone bank, but by; 'Social Media'. Especially those in high school and colleges around your country. The Democrat's have to reach out to them and get them involved in their neighbourhoods and schools. The more people that are involved the faster the word spreads. Now I know that there is a lot of bullying and anger. I see it, hear it and feel it. Well there is a small light in the middle of the tunnel. That light represents your heart. The love of your country and the privileges and opportunities it has given you. To hold on to that light and make it larger is by standing up and saying to everyone; 'Enough is enough time is not to take our country back'. Time to Organize and Mobilize is now. Time to turn off the negative noise that we hear every day. Time to focus on the future and that is tomorrow. Time to pull yourselves up by your shoe laces or boots and be a; 'Leader'. Show the world, that you're not intimidated by the; 'Regime'. Remember the; 'Regime' is weak and whiny.
America you did this in 2020 you can do it again. Have faith in yourself, your family, your friend and most of all; your country. Hold on to your Democracy with two hands as tightly as you can.
Yes, I am a Canadian and I do care what happens to our neighbours to the south. We want you to succeed in your all your state elections and House and Senate elections. I know that you can do it. So chin up, head held high and say; 'I want my country back the way it was before the; 'Regime' took so much away from me'.
