On this point exactly: “to prove to voters that we are the Party that has their best interests at heart.” I haven’t seen a clear statement of what those interests are. I think that would be most helpful in winning for the future. More helpful, or at least equally helpful, than waiting for things to implode due to incompetence and immorality. Thanks for listening.
Democrats need to define in simple terms what each agency that Trump has and will try to destroy actually does for The American People. Maybe a written document would also breakdown what Trump is dismantling. Daily briefings to the public to at least take back some oxygen. How to do this is a mystery to me and Americans.
I have been advocating for a scheduled weekly? media event by Dem Party (with allies--use your allies) to tell people what's going on and what the party is working toward, in bold strokes. Create more of a "there there" for the Party. Hire magicians and comedians if need be. Whatever works. Make it fun, or some of it anyway.
So I look at this substack as very much in the same vein as a weekly media event and applaud it.
