No doubt good forward movement for the Democrats, but what I hear over and over, "I don't trust the Democratic Party. They have not changed and will do the same." As I continue to write, you need a campaign that shows how you have changed and what you support.
Jeffries and Schumer are not regarded as positive and are viewed as the old Democratic Party.
If you want the best forward movement-changes need to be made. More vocal and younger voices need be our Leaders. A platform emphasizing Character, Ethics and Accountability, Affordability, Housing, Healthcare, new Immigration policies and elimination of "special breaks" for richer Americans-Financial Equality.
Bring back Regulators and Monitors that protect all Americans...........
You are exactly right. We need a NEW Platform emphasizing Character, Ethics, etc. But what are the DNC and Blue Print offering? The 2024 Presidential Platform -- with Biden as the nominee! No mention of the Democratic Party's stance on the border issue and immigration, which MANY non-MAGA people care about.
It's disconcerting to see national Party leadership not get its act together, while appearing to lead a huge swirl of impactful activities. I am sure that there are countless impactful activities taking place. But intense activity without a laser-focused, populist message and media approach clouds the issue -- it makes people think that voters minds' are being changed, when they are not.
Many of you know that I have written numerous messages like this, I'm sorry to be a nuisance. But, goodness, we need to win this thing and win big. Yet Ken Martin and team don't see the urgency of using the DNC site to present an up-to-date, compelling, change-people's-minds platform. Wow, can't wait to read again how Biden has done X or will do Y! It would be laughable if it weren't so serious. Please pardon my intemperate language. I'm frustrated.
Thank you! Dr. Ryan, sometimes I think we are talking and not being heard because what-we are not paid consultants? No doubt a lot of good work is being done, but the
DNC needs to talk policy and solutions. Otherwise they are the same old Democratic Party that may win as the Trump Regime crumbles and Americans are pushed to their limit, but this is a temp win for the Party. Not a foundational win.
Let's not stop talking and perhaps this message may leak in? Hello, Ken Martin?
I am hopeful. And frustrated too! Honestly if there was another viable party, I would leave. Time for a change because it seems the Democrats may still be stuck on old Policies and Donors? Why can't they come out and say they have changed and show Americans how they have changed? It would resonate with Americans and gain coverage across all media.
Thank you, again, Dawn. I am SO eager to be part of a down-to-earth party for the people. I know that it's not easy to get "the people" to agree on everything, but I am struck by how much consensus there is on many major issues.
For example, a great majority of Americans understand the need to have "controlled" borders, i.e., to have a sensible, constructive, humane immigration policy along with the resources to implement such policies. Americans agree that serious criminals [the worst of the worst] who came the US illegally should [generally] be deported. But the deportation policies and processes should be carried out humanely and legally. [Ironic, isn't it, how unconcerned the Trump administration is about the law and due process, given that they are ostensibly enforcing the law?} Families should not be separated. People who are sincerely working through the process should not be punished. DACA should be upheld. Undocumented people who have been law-abiding for years should not be deported. Yes, the details aren't easy, but that's why we elect capable, smart, well-intentioned leaders to work through the details and fashion policies which make us proud, not ashamed. But this whole border/immigration issue which many people care about is not even mentioned in the DNC material. And it's not an effective communication strategy to ask people to know the details of the various possible bills in Congress. A viable border/immigration platform should be distilled into concise paragraphs and talking points, like 5calls.org does. Then blasted through digital social media relentlessly. Ted
Totally agree. Sometimes I wonder if it all comes down to money? They are keeping their donors happy? I hope that is not the case.
Ken has stated he wanted to change the DNC. Opportunity is here.
Not too demanding to put together simple bullet points for each issue with a proposed solution, huh? Your issues are right on target for large amount of Americans......and DNC needs to blast it out on a regular basis on all platforms?
Where is Schumer and Jeffries? Crickets. They should be talking each and every day. Shows how much we need new Leadership! We need Fighters.
Yes, 5 calls is doing a good job. I have used them. Have you seen what Lev Parnas is starting along with others this week (Joe Reid, Meidas, etc.)? Making daily phones calls on a subject to Congressional Members.. Trying to move it to a massive scale. Kind of like "No King's" every day! Flooding their emails and phones.

Americans deserve better. And so do Democrats.
Thank you, Dawn Cali!
