Hello Democrats!

My name is Eduardo Bocanegra, and I’m the Sustaining Donor Manager at the DNC. I’m sure some of you reading this have heard from me before, either in your inbox, via text, or during a call with DNC leadership. But, for those of you I have not had the pleasure to connect with, I am so glad that you’re here!

I grew up in Stockton, California, where my parents taught my sisters and me the importance of community. They reminded us that each person brings something unique and valuable to the table, and that when we show up for each other, we build something stronger than any one of us could build alone. It was the spirit of community that inspired me to pursue a career in politics, understanding that we all have a role to play in shaping the direction of our country for future generations, and that’s exactly how I see our grassroots donor community.

Every day, I have the privilege of working with thousands of passionate Democrats who are stepping up. Not because they have to, but because they believe in the power of people coming together to effect change.

Here I am in Chicago with our Convention Contest winners, Carmen and Teresa!

For many, that change means standing up to Trump and the forces that threaten our democracy. But it also means building a Democratic Party rooted in community.
