assisted care is $6,000 a month or more. unable to do that. daddy went peacefully in his bed in his room here thanks to medicaid AND helped me stay sane. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💙🖖🏻
we worked decades - all of our young adult lives and paid taxes for when we retired or forced to retire, in my case, due to my worn out body. this woman and all break me-i am not in her shoes-yet.
i love all that was said by both the resident and her loving caregiver. those folks, like daycare, make peanuts to do hard work for elders. ** i was struck by the young lady saying someday this will be us.**
when youthful, you think you’re unstoppable and look at us elders like - don’t need to think about that. boom! decades fly by and here - promise ya. i feel invisible sometimes in stores, some youngs zooming past me and then right in front like i’m holding up a highway passing lane. there are youngs who offer to reach for what i can’t get to-golden. the kindness goes a long way. please - you could get a head injury, in a wreck and be needing your insurance/medicare/caid-what then? 🤷🏼♀️ please keep fighting. we took care of daddy in our home b/c air force benefits shrinking, medicare went to far. after all of his retirement and 2 other pensions ran out, mediCAID kicked in for hospice and in home care. 🙏🏻🙏🏻💙💙 please
