One Year In: Trump First, Americans Last.
One year since his inauguration, Donald Trump has been busy trying to buy Greenland while Americans can’t afford groceries.

Since being sworn into office one year ago, Donald Trump and his administration have wreaked havoc on the American people. His presidency has delivered devastating consequences for working families, rural communities, and small businesses across the country. If his second term can be summed up into a single message, it’s this: Trump first, Americans last.
Under Trump’s economy, families are paying more for groceries, Americans are finding it harder to find a job, and working communities are facing the steepest cuts ever to Medicaid and SNAP — while the ultra-rich received a massive, permanent tax break.
While Americans want the government to focus on affordability, Trump and Republicans remain focused on out-of-control immigration enforcement and picking fights abroad. It’s no surprise that a majority of Americans disapprove of Trump’s job performance and more than two-thirds disapprove of his handling of the economy.
On the other hand, Democrats are committed to lowering costs for working families and delivering for the American people. In the past year, House Democrats pushed forward key efforts to release the Epstein files and extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits, while Democratic attorneys general have fought to restore billions of dollars in federal funding for public health, education, and other vital services through lawsuits against the Trump administration.
And it doesn’t stop there. This November, Democrats are keeping the fight going with candidates who will hold Trump and Republicans accountable for the damage they’ve inflicted over the past year. If the 2025 elections taught us anything, it’s that when we listen to the American people and organize to support communities, we can make a difference. Let’s keep the momentum going — together.
Ready to be part of the fight? Here’s how you can get involved:
Support Minneapolis
Following the murder of a U.S. citizen and mother of three at the hands of an ICE agent, poll after poll after poll has shown that the American public isn’t buying what the Trump administration is selling. Instead of investigating abuses of power and civil rights violations as part of ICE’s crackdown in Minneapolis, Trump’s Department of Justice is going after political opponents and even Renée Good’s widow. Enough is enough. Our friends at ACLU are calling on folks to contact Congress and demand accountability for ICE.
Make Listening-First Calls to Voters
Our Call Crew is back! We’re starting the year strong and having conversations with voters about the issues and values most important to them. Collecting this feedback will help us shape our efforts for the 2026 midterms, and your outreach makes a real difference!
We’ll kick off the phone bank with an overview of who we’re calling and a step-by-step training for our new callers on our calling platform. After that, you’ll have dedicated time to make calls and connect with voters.
Spread the Word
Across the country, people are standing up and demanding accountability from the Trump administration and Republicans. Use our social media toolkits to spread the word and make it clear — we see you and we are not backing down.
Thanks for fighting with us! Together, we can make a difference.
In solidarity,
Jenny

Russians are coming to the White House this week. Why?? Don’t forget they were involved in the 2016 election when Trump got elected. And we are up for primary election in six weeks. What I hope does not happen is that Russia shows their bullying tactics to win elections to Trump and he put that same Strategy, the Republican candidates did in the 2016 election like was done for Marjorie Taylor Greene in Georgia in order to win this primary in March and then fall in November.
