This past May, voters across Idaho chose Terri Pickens as their Democratic nominee for governor. A fourth-generation Idahoan, award-winning lawyer, small business owner, and dedicated community advocate, Pickens has devoted her life to fighting for working families and giving a voice to abused children.
Now, her campaign is sparking a powerful movement across the state, fueled by over 2,000 donations from more than 1,000 supporters, and drawing an incredible 1.25 million social media visits last month alone.

“I started campaigning here right after Trump won 67% of the Idaho vote. Despite the steep hill, I was confident Trump would lose support. I was right. His Idaho approval has dropped below 50 percent. His supporters are demoralized.
My grassroots supporters, on the other hand, are ready to go. With more than 2,000 contributions from over 1,000 donors, we are in the position to compete in Idaho for the first time in years. This campaign VIBRATES with energy. My social media is highly active, with 1.25 million visits last month (that’s huge for an Idaho candidate!)
All the while, I HAMMER our governor for converting to full-MAGA. To kneel to the president, our governor betrays his supporters and opponents alike. He sold priceless public land to a billionaire donor. He didn’t speak up for ranchers when Trump planned to depress cattle prices by importing foreign beef. We just learned our governor wants our beautiful home to be the nation’s nuclear waste dumpsite. He welcomed ICE agents to bully citizens. He attacked LGBTQ+ rights, libraries and librarians, and women and their doctors. He is giving tax dollars to private religious schools. There’s so, so, much more.
People love what I bring to leadership. I am a mother, a small business owner, a successful attorney, an outdoorswoman, and a community leader. I volunteer legal help for abused children. I am unafraid. I believe truth matters.
Right now, this fall’s ballot gives women a chance to strike down Idaho’s vicious anti-abortion law. Those women have unprecedented enthusiasm. Those women are voting for me.
I believe the government should work for the people, not the other way around. I will tackle our housing affordability crisis. I believe workers need a break – billionaires don’t. I will end the Culture Wars and, together, we will take back our freedom.
