Happy Thursday, Democrats!
Last week in Arizona’s 7th Congressional District, Adelita Grijalva won the Democratic primary in the U.S. House special election. A former member of the Pima County Board of Supervisors and daughter of the late Rep. Raúl Grijalva, who represented the district until his passing, Adelita brings a legacy of public service and progressive leadership to the race.
She’s committed to fighting for affordability, protecting access to Medicaid, and defending Social Security for the next generation. The general election will be held on September 23, 2025, and the work to keep AZ-07 blue starts now.

Chair Martin’s Trips to Texas, New Jersey & Tennessee
Chair Martin continues to fulfill his promise to get the DNC out of the beltway and into backyards across the country.
Earlier this month, he visited Tennessee, New Jersey, and Texas to support each state’s Democrats:
In New Jersey, the Chair knocked on doors for Democratic gubernatorial nominee Mikie Sherrill and engaged directly with voters across the state.
Across the country, the Chair has met with supporters, local party leaders, and community organizers, demonstrating the DNC’s deep commitment to organizing everywhere through strategic investments and showing up when it matters most.
Chair Martin’s commitment to organizing everywhere is making an impact. In the first five months under Chair Martin:
The DNC hosted 138 town halls in all 50 states to meet with Americans across the country, where Republicans refused.
The DNC’s 2025 grassroots fundraising surpassed $50 million with the best-ever June for grassroots donations in an off-year, as grassroots volunteers exceeded 30,000 this year alone. Contributions during the first five months of Chair Martin’s leadership are nearly 2:1 dollars raised in the months after the 2016 cycle.
Democrats have already won or overperformed in 34 key elections in 2025.
Our volunteers are stepping up as community connectors and engaging in Democrats’ “Organizing Summer” campaign to expose the harms of the Republican budget bill, host events, show up at local gatherings, and spark conversations online in group chats, Reddit threads, and sports and gaming forums.
Trump Tax Website
Last week, the DNC launched TrumpTax.Com to highlight how Republicans’ extreme tax and spending bill will directly increase costs for people all over the country.
“The Trump Tax is the largest redistribution of wealth and the largest cut to health care in American history,” DNC Chair Ken Martin said in a statement. “While Trump steers the US economy toward a financial crisis, the Trump Tax is shuttering hospitals and nursing homes, skyrocketing energy bills, and exploding the deficit.”
The website offers a host of information on how the bill will impact each state — including health care cuts, rural hospital closures, and electricity bill increases — all while billionaires get a giant tax cut.
TrumpTax.Com is just another way for the DNC to ensure that you are getting all the information you deserve as we hold the Trump administration and MAGA Republicans accountable for their extreme agenda.

Organizing Summer is Going Strong!
Organizing Summer is in full swing, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. Sign up for a Network Strategy Training today, or learn how to mobilize your community by hosting your own Organizing Summer event. To win critical races this November in Virginia and New Jersey, and in 2026, 2028, and beyond, we need to organize now.

Congratulations on your victory.
In addition to providing grassroots support for local elections, would it make sense for the DNC to work with universities and other organizations (such as law firms and news organizations) under duress to facilitate a unified response to lawsuits and other pressure tactics, e.g., to help universities form a leadership forum that acted on attacks against any university? David Brookes likens this to article 5 of NATO where an attack on one member is an attack on all members.
