Three actions you can take this weekend to support Democrats
Here’s what you can do this weekend to support Democrats and fight back against Trump’s billionaire-first budget.
Top actions you can take this weekend:
1. Talk to a friend about the impact of Trump’s budget on something that matters to them
MAGA Republicans have passed Trump’s billionaire-first budget in the House, and Senate Republicans are already laying the groundwork for devastating cuts to health care, food assistance, and more. The goal? Help the ultra-rich, and leave the rest of us to fend for ourselves.
They’re hoping no one will notice. That’s where we come in.
Start a conversation with someone in your life about how this budget would hit home:
Talk to your friend on Medicaid or with aging parents about how this budget threatens their health coverage.
Talk to someone who’s relied on SNAP or WIC about what food assistance cuts would mean for families.
Talk to your coworker about how Trump’s plan would make his tax scam permanent - giving massive tax breaks to billionaires while working families pay more.
The truth travels fastest by word of mouth and personal conversations are one of the most effective tools we have to fight back.
2. Call your senator and demand they vote no on Trump’s billionaire budget
This bill is cruel, plain and simple. It would:
Rip away health care from 16 million Americans by gutting Medicaid and the ACA
Rip away food assistance through drastic cuts to SNAP
Permanently rig the tax system for the ultra-rich
If your state has a Republican senator, pick up the phone and let them know you’re watching and you expect them to vote no. Text CALL to 43367 to get their number and a call script.
3. Don’t get distracted - post about what actually matters
Trump and Elon Musk are desperate to dominate the headlines with petty feuds and clickbait chaos. Don’t let them distract from what really matters: A Republican budget that would devastate families across the country.
Instead of engaging with the noise, post about the issues that will actually affect people’s lives. We’ve got graphics, videos, and messages ready for you to use. Head to our toolkit and share something that cuts through the chaos:
Thanks for being in this fight with us. Your voice, your conversations, and your actions matter.

I can only see the BBB and my imperative to seek its demise. There are only a few weeks to render it asunder. Many distractions are being proffered, but I will not look away from the mission to destroy the life-threatening BBB. The BBB will kill and bankrupt our most vulnerable. Food will be taken from children. Our courts will be harmed. Many will be forced into homelessness. Currently we annually pay $1 trillion in interest on our national debt. Our economy interest rates are going up as our creditworthiness declines! Future generations will be forced to deal with a national deficit nearly twice its current $36 trillion size. I can see the current deficit growing to $69 trillion by 2036, and then there will be $3.6 trillion of annual interest on that accumulated national debt. The CBO softballs future inflation rates (2%). The CBO softballs future interest rates (3.5%). I call BS. Let us take a look at more credible drivers, like the current interest rates gradually increasing from the current 4.91% to 5.8% and the current 2.3% inflation growing to 3%. It was the CBO that told us the 2017 TCJA tax bill would be deficit neutral and now we find out that it costs us $4.6 trillion over the next 10 years. And they want to make that tax cut permanent. Used to think Quora was a good place to go but apparently not if you want to post something that people besides those who already agree might see it. Sorry Quora, you lost me🤬🤬🤬🤬
