Turning November’s Wins into Sustaining Momentum
November’s elections might be behind us, but the DNC isn’t slowing down.
Happy Wednesday, Democrats!
For the past few months, DNC Chair Ken Martin has emphasized the importance of getting the DNC out of DC and into communities across the country. Thanks to strategic planning and our incredible organizing team, we activated volunteers nationwide to participate in phone banking, canvassing, and community get-out-the-vote events. Those voter contact sessions were key to our nationwide success earlier this month.
Thanks to our grassroots donors, many of whom subscribe to our weekly newsletter, the DNC achieved record-breaking fundraising. In a time when the prices of everyday goods are rising due to Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans, and when Americans face uncertainty on how they will keep their heads above water, the DNC’s Grassroots Team is incredibly grateful for your support. From subscribing to The Blue Print, to following us on social media, to donating to the DNC and everything in between, we thank you for your support.
These fundraising numbers are a testament to our ever-growing momentum. However, it’s not just about setting new records; it’s about building the war chest we need to elect more Democrats and defeat Republicans in 2025, 2026, and beyond.
This week, we will explore how the DNC is maintaining our momentum post-November, the latest from the DNC Studio, and how we’re holding the Trump administration accountable online. Additionally, the election season is still ongoing, and we will look at the critical election happening in Tennessee as we gear up for 2026.
Rep. Adelita Grijalva is FINALLY Sworn in to Congress
More than seven weeks since she was elected, Adelita Grijalva is officially a congresswoman. The people of AZ-07 have gone weeks without a voice in Congress thanks to Mike Johnson’s refusal to swear her in, but Congresswoman Grijalva has not let that stop her from speaking up and supporting her constituents.
Likewise, the constituents of AZ-07 have been vocal about the delay, calling for Speaker Johnson to swear her in continuously throughout the last several weeks.
Now that she is in Washington, Congresswoman Grijalva is ready to get the job done. She will be a voice for over 800,000 members in her district and work to secure affordable housing and safe communities for her constituents. Notably, she provided the final signature needed to force a House vote on releasing the Epstein files.

Lowering Your Electricity Bill with Former Governor Jay Inslee
Last week, our Deputy Communications Director, Hannah Muldavin, spoke with former Washington State Governor Jay Inslee in the DNC studio to discuss Trump’s utility cost crisis, how Democrats are responding, and what this means for future elections.
Trump’s Economy Continues To Crash
As Americans continue to express their concerns about the cost of living, Trump “[doesn’t] want to hear about the affordability” as he attempts to claim victory on his failed economy. While people want the president to address skyrocketing prices for food, housing, and utilities, he would rather be spending time with his billionaire buddies or building his gilded ballroom.
What’s next for the Trump economy? As the administration continues to impose tariffs on everyday goods, putting food on the table will become harder for families. Just last week, the Trump administration moved to impose a 107% tariff on more than a dozen Italian pasta producers, and this may be the last we see pasta from Italy on our shelves for a while. As early as January, major exporters say they plan to stop exporting to the United States, eliminating the product from our grocery stores.
It’s clear whose side Donald Trump and the Republican Party are on: billionaires and the ultra-rich, not the American people. Here’s a reality check: Polling shows that more than three-fifths of Americans think Trump has worsened the economy. Meanwhile, Democrats are focused on what matters most — lowering costs. Democrats who won this November met voters at the kitchen table, and have been fighting for affordable costs for all Americans.

A Win Against Gerrymandering
Yesterday, a federal court struck down Texas Republicans’ rigged congressional maps that diluted Black and brown representation. Texas Republicans passed these maps to avoid accountability for congressional Republicans passing Trump’s Big Ugly Bill, which rips away health care from hundreds of thousands of Texans and puts 15 rural hospitals on the brink of closure.
This win follows Utah, where last week a judge chose a fair and impartial congressional map instead of the rigged map that Utah Republicans passed last month. This decision is a victory for democracy as gerrymandering attempts spearheaded by MAGA Republicans pose threats across the country.
As Utah Republicans submit blatantly unfair congressional maps, Democrats stand in their way to ensure every Utahn has a voice. Republicans know they are losing steam nationwide and are attempting every trick to hold on to power. Every seat counts, and Democrats are ready to fight for fair elections and take back the House in 2026.
In Case You Missed It: Love Still Wins
Last week, the Supreme Court declined to revisit its landmark ruling legalizing gay marriage in the United States. Democrats have fought for years to make marriage equality the law of the land. This landmark precedent ensures everyone has the right to marry who they love, a freedom that should be celebrated for all Americans.
The Latest from DNC Chair, Ken Martin.
On November 7, Ken Martin spoke onstage at Crooked Con to discuss how the DNC is planning to build on our momentum from the November elections. There is no off-season, and Chair Ken Martin, along with the DNC, is committed to reaching new spaces to uplift the party and garner support.
