When We Count Expands to Nevada
When We Count is the DNC’s largest-ever partisan voter registration program aimed at meeting young voters where they are. You may remember hearing from Lani, one of our When We Count fellows, last month.
From registering folks at bars and restaurants to following up with them to ensure they cast their ballot, our When We Count fellows are making sure that young voters have a seat at the table.
We’re excited to share that When We Count has officially launched in Nevada! In this critical battleground state, our fellows are hard at work registering voters to close the gap with Republicans and elect Democrats up and down the ballot this November.

White House Corruption Runs Rampant
It’s no secret: Donald Trump is the most corrupt president in history.
So far this year, Trump has raked in as much as $15.5 million through trading oil and gas stocks. While 80% of Americans believe Trump is not focused enough on the cost of living, he and his family continue to exploit their power for profit.
The American people aren’t hiding their feelings on the matter. A majority of Americans believe that the Trumps have inappropriately profited from crypto. Since returning to the White House, Trump has raked in at least $2 billion, all while working families fight to afford everyday necessities.

How We’re Holding the Trump Administration Accountable Online
Under RFK Jr.’s Department of Health and Human Services, there seems to be a new recall each and every day. McKinley Lettre and our rapid response team are finding new and innovative ways to expose how everyday Americans are impacted by RFK Jr.’s leadership.
You may have seen these viral posts on social media about the numerous recalls happening across the country. A recent post highlighted a berry recall, paired with a photo of RFK Jr.’s berry-red face.
This series of posts has successfully poked fun at the Trump administration while holding them accountable for the harm caused to American families. As each post gains traction, more and more Americans become aware of the real impacts on food safety under RFK Jr.
“It seems like there’s a new recall every single day,” McKinley said. “Food safety is something that everyone can relate to.”
“The picture choice is very intentional,” McKinley said. “We’re trying to choose a picture of RFK that looks like the food that’s been recalled to try and get these posts into people’s group chats and into their conversations.”

New York City Sees Safest Summer Under Mayor Mamdani
This summer, New York City saw its safest summer in recorded history under Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Since Mayor Mamdani took office, crime is down across the board, with major crimes down six percent since his inauguration in January. Democratic mayors are keeping our cities safe nationwide.
Pennsylvania Increases Funding for Schools Under Gov. Shapiro
Since he took office, Governor Josh Shapiro has increased funding for Pennsylvania schools by over $3 billion.
With this funding, Pennsylvania is restoring school infrastructure, providing mental health resources, increasing special education support, and ensuring all students receive free breakfast.
“My administration is proud to invest in our students’ success, and we’re going to keep delivering for students all across the Commonwealth,” said Governor Shapiro.
The DNC Is Fired Up This Election Season
The path to victory runs through the South.
We recently launched a new Southern States Resource Hub to ensure Southern Democratic state parties have the resources they need to message, fundraise, target, and staff as strategically as possible. This historic investment will help Democrats gain ground across the South by building a strong coalition of voters ahead of the midterms, 2028, and beyond.
