When Democrats Lead, We Thrive
Across the country, Democrats are making real change in their communities. From lower crime rates to investing in their cities, Democratic leaders are getting the job done.
That’s why this election season, voters are making their voices heard and choosing Democrats to improve their communities and take a stand against the harmful policies of Donald Trump. Voters are showing out nationwide in the primaries, giving Republicans a warning sign of what’s to come this November.
This week, we’re reflecting on recent Democratic wins across the country. But the work doesn’t stop with celebration; it continues with action. In 2026 and beyond, we’re fighting to elect Democrats who will make real change, who will hold Trump and Republicans accountable, and who will lead us to victory.
Democrats are proving every day that when we lead, we thrive. Thank you for your support.
Happy Pride Month!
This Pride Month, we’re celebrating the trailblazers in the LGBTQ+ community. Visionary activists like Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera courageously led and supported the modern movement for LGBTQ+ liberation. The late Rep. Barney Frank paved the way for generations of leaders. Activists like Jim Obergefell, Edie Windsor, and countless others fought to extend marriage equality nationwide. We celebrate the LGBTQ+ people fighting for rights targeted by their own government. All of these victories were won because Americans courageously fought for them, and this month we celebrate these heroes while recommitting to the work that still remains.
This fight continues as long as extreme right-wing politicians seek to roll back this progress and relentlessly attack and dehumanize LGBTQ+ Americans. In this fight, we will strive to keep our neighbors safe and ensure that this country is a home for all.

Last year in California, Oakland reached the lowest homicide rate since the 1960s under Mayor Barbara Lee.

Mayor Lee credits the decline to an all-hands-on-deck approach combining violence prevention with intervention strategies. I think you missed the most significant win of this primary season. In Maine, Graham Platner won in a landslide. He has the potential of being one of the great Senators of our lifetime, due to his eloquence, knowledge, courage and focus. That's why the plutocrats and their lackeys are doing their damndest to defeat him. The lazy pundit class is just repeating stories they have heard, some from Republican operatives, and not bothering to listen to his message. That's journalistic malpractice, in my opinion.
