Happy Tuesday! We’ll start with some good news:
For nearly six months, in baseless suit after baseless suit, disgraced candidate Jefferson Griffin attacked North Carolina voters after losing the race to become a justice on the state Supreme Court and refusing to concede. Last week, he finally acknowledged what we all knew and what two recounts confirmed: Allison Riggs is the rightful winner of this Supreme Court race.
This victory was hard-fought, and it would not have been possible without supporters like you. The DNC — together with the Riggs campaign and the North Carolina Democratic Party — provided legal, communications, and organizational support to ensure that every North Carolinian had their ballot counted. Democrats will continue to fight day-in and day-out to protect our democracy and ensure all elections are fair.
At the same time, we’re focused on exposing the impact of Republicans’ extreme, harmful agenda on working families. In April, the DNC announced that with the DNC War Room and People’s Cabinet we are driving a cohesive daily message emphasizing the harm that Trump and his allies are doing to millions of people.
That involves leveraging a deep bench of surrogates to reach beyond Democrats’ traditional audiences and making sure our message is reaching people all over the country, online, across new media and conservative media, and beyond.
It also involves expanding our disinformation and research operation to ensure that we’re countering Trump and his allies’ consequential lies in every appearance, interview, or social media post.
On top of that, we’re organizing around the clock to protect the American people. In case you missed it, May is our "Fight to Save Medicaid" month of action. Democrats are targeting four vulnerable Republicans — Tom Barrett (MI-07), Don Bacon (NE-02), Mike Lawler (NY-17), Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01) — putting the pressure on them to do the right thing and vote against Trump’s budget bill and protect health care for their constituents. If you want to get involved in this effort, be sure to check the Ground Game, where Kate from the DNC’s Organizing Team shared three ways to join us in protecting Medicaid for all.
Here are six ways you can support the Democratic Party this week:
Sign up for our new training, The Network Strategy, where you will learn tactics for holding Republicans accountable.
Run for office yourself, or encourage others to run. The only way Democrats can check Trump’s power is by running — and winning — everywhere we can, at all levels.
Start a monthly gift to the DNC to help us support state parties and elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
Uplift our content: We need to make sure as many people as possible hear our message. Keep up with our @TheDemocrats social media accounts and share with your networks!
Attend a People’s Town Hall: Democrats are hosting town halls across the country to give Americans a platform to make their voices heard.
Volunteer: Fill out our volunteer interest form to share how you'd like to get involved.

How the DNC is Holding Republicans Accountable
Democrats are effectively exposing the real impact of Republican policies:
Highlighting how Trump's chaotic trade policy is leading to higher prices and economic instability
Calling attention to Republican attempts to slash Medicaid
Emphasizing threats to Social Security and Medicare from the Trump-Musk agenda
Standing up for due process and the rule of law in the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case
What we’re doing in the courts:
Pennsylvania Supreme Court Brief
The Pennsylvania Democratic Party, with the DNC’s support, filed an opposition brief in the US Supreme Court to protect the rights of PA voters to have their vote counted.
Executive Order Challenges
The DNC, DCCC, and DSCC filed a lawsuit challenging a Trump executive order that attempts to dictate how the Federal Election Commission interprets the law.
The DNC, DSCC, DCCC, and DGA, along with Democratic Senate and House leaders, filed another lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to block a different executive order that attempts to suppress voters, disrupt voter registration systems, stop states from counting eligible mail ballots, and withhold federal funding from certain states. On April 24, the court blocked key provisions of the executive order from going into effect.
People’s Town Hall Updates
Democrats continue to host People’s Town Halls across the country, meeting voters where their Republican representatives won’t and keeping the drumbeat going on how Trump and Republicans are prioritizing billionaires over working Americans. Thanks to your support and enthusiasm, we have hosted 100+ town halls across the country, with more on the way!

Check back each week for updates on the Party's initiatives, ways to get involved, and important news.
Yeah but also try to silence new voices. The trying to exile of David Hogg proves why I will only ever stand with the progressive caucus and not the over all Democratic Party
