While Republicans’ disastrous economic agenda brings high costs, rising inflation, and a slowing job market to Americans across the country, Democrats are standing with workers.
I am part of a group in Pittsburgh, PA called the Pittsburgh Overpass Project. On Monday at 8 am I and my team will gather on the Brinton Road Bridge which goes over I-376 and wave flags and display banners saying "Grab Him by the Epstein Files" and "Close the Torture Camps"at the drivers coming in to downtown Pittsburgh for the Labor Day Parade. We are one of a number of overpasses around the city that will have people displaying banners. We will be there until 10 am.
I feel like these "action" steps are really lame and poorly planned. Host a Labor Day event and you send the email out on the Friday afternoon of the weekend? That's just the feeling that I have for the DNC (and the Party) right now. Always too little, too late.
I look at all the work many other organizations are doing such as Indivisible and May Day Strong. Why aren't we leveraging their efforts? Will politicians be showing up to the May Day Strong Events on Monday? Wouldn't that be a win/win to have politicians energizing voters and vis versa? Aren't the AOC/Bernie events drawing big crowds? Can't we duplicate those with other Dem politicians? (I think Ruben Gallego is also doing a nice job traveling the country for Town Halls). What are you doing to promote and leverage those efforts? When is the next No Kings event and will you be involved and will you promote those events?
Do not tell me to do feel-good ineffective symbolic shit.
What “nothing” do you fuck ups have “planned” to defeat the permanent destruction of the Constitution through a GOP-captured Article V Convention?
Get off your spineless performative-theatre donation-machine asses and act like something worth a damn.
