Three actions you can take this weekend to support Democrats
Here’s what you can do this weekend to support Democrats and fight against the Trump administration.
What a win in Omaha this past week! It’s clear proof that when we organize everywhere, we win everywhere. We’ll keep highlighting ways you can get involved in upcoming elections, hold Republicans accountable, and build Democratic power right here on Substack. Here’s a quick look at what’s happening this weekend
Top actions you can take this weekend.
Have a conversation with your network about the impacts of the GOP’s budget bill.
House Republicans are doubling down on trying to pass their cruel budget bill — one that includes devastating cuts to programs that families depend on. The bill includes the largest cut to health care and food assistance in American history, showing once again that the GOP prioritizes Trump’s billionaire backers over working families. Here’s what you need to know:
According to the CBO, Republicans’ reconciliation package will cut health care spending by $715 billion over a decade.
The GOP bill will result in nearly 14 million Americans going uninsured.
Hospitals will close, seniors will not be able to get the care they need, and premiums will skyrocket for everyday families.
Trump is showing us exactly whose side he’s on: He’s not fighting for children, parents, seniors in nursing homes, or people with disabilities — he’s gutting essential programs to hand out more tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy.
One of the most effective things we can do is to make sure people know what’s at stake — and to pressure Republican representatives to vote no. The GOP is counting on people to not pay attention as they try to pass this deeply unpopular bill.
By talking to just two or three people in your network about what’s in the budget, you’re helping build power and hold Republicans accountable. If they are fired up, ask them to call their GOP Representative!
Join our new organizing program, The Network Strategy
We know that traditional outreach methods for organizing aren’t enough anymore, which is why we’ve launched our new training called The Network Strategy. During the training sessions, you will learn about what it looks like to effectively engage your network, and how to join the fight to build long-term Democratic power.
Attend an upcoming People’s Town Hall.
This weekend, we’ve got town halls happening in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Nebraska. Show up, speak out, and make your voice heard.
Thanks for being in this fight with us!

Jeffries can stop blocking Jasmine Crockett for starters. That’s what I’m working on.
